The average loan amount for a Chinese used car in Russia has been named
On average, the requested amount for the purchase of a used Chinese car in Russia was 1.41 million rubles, and the loan term, which buyers indicated in the questionnaires, was more than six years. This was reported to Izvestia on September 22 by Avito Auto experts, who analyzed data on applications for loans for Chinese used cars sent over the past six months through the platform.
Most often over the past six months, people on the platform wanted to purchase Geely, Chery, Haval, Changan and Lifan cars on credit (22.5% of all applications). The most popular models among borrowers were Geely Coolray (6.2%), Geely Monjaro, Haval Jolion (5%), Chery Tiggo (T11) and Lifan X60. Changan X5 Plus, Chery Tiggo 7 Pro, Geely Emgrand EC7, Great Wall Hover H3 and Omoda C5 also entered the top ten in terms of share of applications.
They wanted to get a loan for the largest amount for the purchase of LiXiang L9 (4.37 million rubles) and LiXiang L7 (4.07 million rubles). The lowest amount was requested for the purchase of Haima (388 thousand rubles), ZX (404 thousand rubles) and Lifan (479 thousand rubles) cars. A loan of less than half a million was required for the purchase of Geely MK, Lifan Smily, Chery Very, Chery Bonus (A13) and Geely MK Cross.
The shortest loan term (5.8 years) was indicated in applications for Haima cars. The longest planned loan repayment for the purchase of the JAC T9 was 7.1 years, as well as for the Geely Galaxy Starship 7 and Chery Tiggo 8 — 7 years and 6.9 years, respectively.
Earlier, on September 17, it was reported that during the summer months of 2025, the approval rate of loan applications for new cars increased by 4%, the average loan amount increased by 310 thousand rubles. The approval rate and loan amount for used cars also showed a slight increase.
