Many industries have undergone significant changes and are projected to continue to change dramatically in the era of rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) in the next five years. He told the Newspaper about this on September 22.Ru" Candidate of Technical Sciences, entrepreneur, associate professor, architect of Big Data systems and AI solutions Alexander Suleikin.

The expert informed which specialists are not in danger of dismissal due to the active introduction of AI and which new professions may appear on the labor market.

"It is difficult to imagine replacing AI with medical specialists, especially doctors <...> Even if AI can analyze symptoms faster, doctors are needed to interpret results, explain diagnoses to patients and make treatment decisions," he explained.

Suleikin said that teachers will also remain indispensable in the labor market, because the educational process includes not only the transfer of knowledge, but also the educational process. For this reason, AI will not be able to replace nannies and nurses.

"Psychologists and psychotherapists are irreplaceable specialists. Even though many people have already begun to replace psychotherapy sessions with communication with AI, only a person can support another person and understand their <...> Emotional intelligence and the ability to connect with a patient make the profession of a psychologist stable before the development of AI," the expert said.

In his opinion, managers will also remain indispensable, since their roles require a high level of emotional intelligence, leadership skills and the ability to adapt to changes.

Suleikin noted that along with the development of AI, new professions are actively emerging, such as industrial engineers, specialists in working with neural networks and their effective work, so that the answers are as high-quality as possible. He reports that a large number of industrial engineering courses are already actively offered not only by commercial companies, but also by leading universities in the country (for example, the National Research University Higher School of Economics).

"New professions will continue to appear that will be related to the management of AI systems, because now issues of security, ethics management of requests, accuracy and validation of responses, monitoring, understanding the work of AI systems and control are coming to the fore. All these new professions will become more and more in demand in the near future," the expert concluded.

Earlier, on September 19, Maxim Nedyakin, an expert in the field of organization management, said that in the next 3-5 years many professions where work is strictly regulated and repeated according to instructions will disappear. He clarified that cashiers, call center operators, bank employees and ordinary support staff will gradually give way to AI.
