On September 21, US President Donald Trump spoke at a farewell ceremony for American political activist Charlie Kirk in Glendale, Arizona.

"Our country was deprived of one of the brightest lights of our time, a giant of his generation, and above all, a devoted husband, father, son, Christian and patriot. <...> He was deprived of his life because he spoke for freedom and justice, for God, for the country, for reason and common sense."- said Trump.

The American leader added that Kirk has become a part of the history of the United States.

Trump also expressed his condolences to Kirk's widow, Erica.
