Russian President Vladimir Putin, communicating with the military during the Zapad-2025 strategic exercises, praised the designers for creating a machine with anti-drone protection. The footage appeared on September 21 in the program "Moscow. Kremlin. Putin."

"Thank you! So, actually, we tried and did it. You did it! No, really, really! That's what you need," the head of state said, shaking hands with the serviceman.

The Russian military called it the highest rating he had received in his entire life.

"This is the highest grade I've probably received in my entire life and for my service. And I'm very proud of it," he shared in an interview with VGTRK journalist Pavel Zarubin.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on September 17 that Putin always shows respect for the Russian military. He also stressed that the president positively assessed the progress and results of the Zapad-2025 Russian-Belarusian military exercises.

The Russian leader appeared on September 16 at the Zapad-2025 exercises in a military uniform. He put on a field set of military uniforms without shoulder straps, with patches "President of the Russian Federation" and "Putin V.V.". He said that the purpose of the Zapad-2025 exercises is defensive. Putin noted that in total, about 10,000 weapons and equipment systems, including 333 aircraft, will be involved in the exercises.
