Sobyanin spoke about the results of the work of data center assistance services
Since the beginning of this year, the assistance services of the Moscow Traffic Management Center have come to the rescue of drivers over 25 thousand times. This was announced by the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin.
He recalled that the road, bike and motorcycle patrol "help regulate traffic at difficult intersections, provide support in case of car breakdowns, in registration of the European Protocol, start engines, change punctured wheels, provide first aid."
"Highway Patrol officers are moving emergency vehicles off the roadway to eliminate congestion and enclose the accident site for the safety of all participants," the mayor wrote on his channel in the MAX. "In winter, they tow trucks if they get stuck."
Every year, 36 Highway Patrol crews ply Moscow, and in summer they are joined by 17 bicycle and six motorcycle patrol crews. The Data center staff provides assistance free of charge, while the Situation Center registers all incidents 24/7 and, if necessary, sends the nearest crew to the site.
Sobyanin recalled that the Highway Patrol Service has been operating since 2017, a bicycle patrol appeared in 2018, and a motorcycle patrol in the spring of 2024. "Today they have become an important part of the city's security system and help make traffic in Moscow even more comfortable," the mayor stressed.
Earlier in September, the Moscow Department of Transport reported that the number of road accidents in Moscow in the first eight months of 2025 decreased by 8% compared to the same period last year. The number of deaths in accidents decreased by 29%.
The Department of Transport emphasized that road supervisors annually think over and implement projects to improve traffic conditions on the streets and roads of the capital, and the data center and Traffic Patrol crews monitor roads in the capital around the clock. In addition, the installation of photo and video recording systems reduces the accident rate by up to 30% in places where accidents have occurred, the department noted.
All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
