The State Duma warned Russians about the phenomenon of stealth inflation

When buying goods in stores, Russians face a combination of "shrinkflation" and "skimpflation" tactics from manufacturers, which together lead to "stealth inflation." This was announced on September 21 by Boris Chernyshov, Deputy Speaker of the State Duma (LDPR faction), with reference to his team's research.

"The results of our study eloquently indicate that Russians have become victims of the dual tactics of manufacturers – "shrinkflation" and "skimpflation", which together form the phenomenon of "stealth deflation," RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.
