In Odessa, they want to rename Vasily Chapaev Street in honor of a militant battalion of the Azov special forces unit of the National Guard of Ukraine (a terrorist organization banned in the Russian Federation). This was announced on September 20 by the Public television channel.

It is noted that the soldier died back in 2015.

It is also planned to rename Srednyaya Street in the Khadjibeysky district of Odessa also in honor of the deceased serviceman from Ukraine.
