Actor Gosha Kutsenko, who starred in the Russian-Chinese film "Red Silk" and co-produced it, admitted that he was proud of the results achieved by this project. He told about it on September 19 in a conversation with Izvestia.

"I am proud and very glad that we were marked, that the idea worked and everything happened. [Directed by Andrey] Volgin did well, he shot it beautifully," he said.

The actor expressed regret that his character dies according to the plot of the picture and will not appear in the sequel to the detective story.

"They wanted to revive me, but the producer said, 'I'm sorry, you've been killed.' I say, "What about computer graphics, blinking eyes in the frame?" he joked, adding that work on the Russian—Chinese project is ongoing.

The film "Red Silk" was created with the participation of NMG Kinoprokat, a company that is part of the National Media Group holding.

On September 11, Svetlana Balanova, General Director of the National Media Group, said that during the first weekend of the screening of the film "Red Silk" in China, the box office receipts of the film amounted to several hundred thousand dollars.
