In Russia, it is necessary to criminalize the propaganda of hooking. This was stated by the first deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on Family Protection, Fatherhood, Motherhood and Childhood, Vitaly Milonov, on Friday, September 19.
"That is, all publications that promote this lifestyle should be deleted, and their administrators should be held accountable," Milonov said in a conversation with Lenta.Ru .
According to the parliamentarian, hooking should be equated to a type of mental disorder, because by its nature this activity is similar to suicide.
"Here, of course, these people need to be treated in psychiatric hospitals. If there are no signs of psychiatry, it is necessary to see the parents what they are doing," he concluded.
On August 28, the Moscow Magistrate's court sentenced Daniil Delezhanov, who taught teenagers how to hook, to 10 months of correctional labor withholding 10% of the state income. The defendant was found guilty on two counts of Part 1 of Article 151.2 ("Involving minors in committing illegal acts that are known to pose a danger to the life of the perpetrator").
According to the trial, Delezhanov met with teenagers and personally showed them how to engage in hooking. The court took into account the opinion of the Moscow Transport Prosecutor's Office, the circumstances of the case and the degree of public danger of the crime.
