The adoption of an anti-Russian resolution on nuclear safety in Ukraine during the general conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) was accompanied by a record number of abstaining members. This was stated by the Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to international organizations in Vienna, Mikhail Ulyanov, on his page on the social network X on Thursday, September 18.

"The IAEA General Conference adopted an anti—Russian resolution on nuclear safety in Ukraine by 62 votes in favor (one third of the Agency's members) with a record 46 abstentions, including Hungary (an EU member state) and the United States. Not bad. Common sense paves the way forward," the politician said.
