Scientists have found the oldest dinosaur remains in Mongolia.

Scientists have discovered in Mongolia the oldest and most complete fossil of a pachycephalosaur, known for its domed skull. This was reported on September 18 by NBC News with reference to a study published in the journal Nature.

According to the newspaper, the find was discovered in the Gobi Desert. This type of dinosaur is considered one of the "most mysterious", scientists know very little about it. At the same time, previously discovered pachycephalosaur fossils were mostly limited to skulls.

"The fossil, which is between 108 and 115 million years old, belongs to a young individual," the article says.

According to the study, the find from Mongolia is "the most complete in terms of the skeleton," and provides scientists with much more details about the anatomy of pachycephalosaurs than they had before.

According to scientists, the dinosaur was at least two years old, the body length of the animal was about 90 cm. The skeleton, more than half of which was found, "is distinguished by long legs and short small hands."
