In the Voronezh region, a teenager died during SAMBO training

The teenager died of cardiac arrest during SAMBO training in the Ostrogozhsky district of the Voronezh Region, he was 13 years old. This was reported on September 18 in the Telegram channel of the regional Ministry of Health.

"At the time of the examination, the patient's condition was severe: temperature 40.5 degrees, pressure 150/100, pulse 180, saturation 62, convulsive syndrome," the report says.

The ministry stressed that the child remained conscious and talked, but soon his heart stopped. It is noted that the athlete did not receive physical activity at the time of the deterioration of health.

The child had been studying in the sambo section at the Severnaya Arena sports complex for more than two years and had a medical admission to classes, the statement said.

Later, the Investigative Department (SU) of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia for the region reported on the Telegram channel that investigators had opened a criminal case into the death of a teenager in the city of Ostrogozhsk on the grounds of a crime under Part 1 of Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Causing death by negligence").

Earlier, on May 23, a 10-year-old boy died in Dagestan after a freestyle wrestling training session. During the class, he felt unwell and was rushed to a hospital in Makhachkala, where he later died. It was reported that Islamdin had a tumor in the occipital part of his head, which his parents did not know about. The boy did not attend school, but he was sent to training.
