The doctor recommended paying attention to the composition of the cosmetic product. The content of aggressive surfactants and sulfates, synthetic preservatives, mineral oils and heavy metals, as well as dyes and perfumes is unacceptable. All these components can destroy the protective barrier of the skin, cause dermatitis or an allergic reaction, acne or even skin cancer.
The cosmetologist also advised to pay attention to how the storage conditions of the goods are observed, if possible.
Also, according to Kostenko, you should not immediately be guided by the mention of useful components in the composition. According to the expert, their concentration may be so minimal that they will not bring any benefit to a person.
To avoid mistakes when choosing cosmetics, the expert recommended buying it in trusted places, be sure to study the composition of the product, first paying attention to the packaging and the information contained on it.
