The Gaza Strip is a real estate gold mine, and Israel is already negotiating with the United States on the division and further development of the enclave's territory. This was stated by Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich on Wednesday, September 17, quoted by The Times of Israel.

"We have invested a lot of money in this war. We need to look at how we will distribute the land as a percentage," the politician said.

According to Smotrich, the Gaza Strip is a "gold mine" in the real estate sector, and investments can pay off if you start developing these territories.

"We have already completed the demolition, the first stage of the city's renovation. Now we just need to build," he said.

The politician stressed that discussions regarding the division of the enclave after the end of hostilities had already taken place between Israel and the United States.

On September 16, Israel launched a ground operation to occupy Gaza City. It is accompanied by massive strikes throughout the enclave. Later, the country's defense ministry noted that the IDF would strike at Gaza until it defeated Hamas and freed the hostages. According to the Axios portal, the ground operation received the support of the United States. U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that due to the Israeli offensive in the Gaza Strip, Hamas has little time to agree to a cease-fire deal.

On the same day, the UN Commission of Inquiry into the events in the Occupied Palestinian Territories and Israel recognized Tel Aviv's actions in the Gaza Strip as genocide. The head of the commission, Navi Pillay, believes that Israel is responsible for the failure to prevent and punish those involved in the commission of the crime.
