In Kazakhstan, a tourist, having fallen off the trail while conquering Sairamsky Peak, clung to a sheer cliff for three days without food and water, and waited for rescuers. This was reported to Izvestia on September 17 by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan.

It is known that along with 28-year-old Andrei Orlov, who has Kazakh citizenship, was his friend, 29-year-old Akmal Makhkamov. He fell into a ravine and fell to his death. The tourists went to the 4,238 m high peak without special equipment or a guide.

Without waiting for the men to return, their relatives contacted the emergency services. Orlov's father expressed his gratitude to the rescuers.

"I want to thank everyone who took part in the rescue of my son, the staff of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, who organized the station. It wasn't easy for them, they were there day and night. I would especially like to thank the volunteer guys, who are professional climbers. You risked your life for my son. We prayed that no one would die," the man said.

Professionals from the Mountaineering Federation, 18 rescuers and huntsmen took part in the search operation. There was a Kazaviaspas helicopter and drones. During the work, rescuers established voice contact with Andrei, who screamed, clutching the rock with his last strength. With superhuman efforts, the tourist was removed from the top. After that, the body of his dead comrade was also raised.

On the eve of Sochi, a 41-year-old tourist, whose health deteriorated sharply while hiking on the high-altitude Bzerpinsky ledge, was evacuated by rescuers of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations from an altitude of more than 2 thousand m. Since the woman's condition was severe, evacuation could only be carried out by helicopter. The woman was transported on a stretcher to the involved Ka-32 helicopter, provided first aid, and then handed over to Sochi ambulance doctors.
