The second day of the competition program of the New Season online platform festival has ended at Rosa Khutor. One of the main novelties presented to the public was the series "Nanny Oksana", which in many ways refers to the cult "My Beautiful Nanny", which brought wide fame to Anastasia Zavorotnyuk. In Nanny Oksana, the main role was played not by an actress, but by an astrologer and the host of an Internet show, Olesya Ivanchenko. The series "My Fair Nanny" was released in 2004 and gained the status of a national hit. It lasted for seven seasons, and Anastasia Zavorotnyuk became a favorite screen nanny for many. Victoria Prutkovskaya won her over with her charm, spontaneity, resourcefulness and characteristic southern accent. Long before the premiere, Nanny Oksana was dubbed a remake on the Web. The characters of the new comedy are a nanny from the provinces and a widower with three children. There is even a house manager in the spirit of Konstantin the butler in "My Beautiful Nanny."

— I play the manager of the house, in fact, what Boris Grigorievich Smolkin once played. It's an honor for me, and I see it as a kind of generational continuity. My character has something in common with his character. He feels like the master of the house, because everything is based on him — he knows how everything works, nothing works without him," Alexander Martynov, who played the role of manager and came to support the project at the festival, told Izvestia.

A musical screensaver with a recognizable melody and the tune "Babysitter, babysitter, babysitter" also refers to "My beautiful Babysitter". But the creators insist that their work is not a remake.

"Comparisons are inevitable, of course, but we didn't position it as a remake and didn't start shooting with such thoughts," director Evgenia Abdel-Fattah told Izvestia before the screening. — There is a general plot. It's based on a story about a girl who gets into a family and starts raising children in a completely different way than it was in the original source. Of course, we used this particular material as a basis, but that's all that's left of the first option.

The first season of Gazeta is already being compared to the iconic original from twenty years ago.

Now Oksana from Krasnodar Region is in the center of the plot. She decides to surprise her wealthy lover, who, on rare occasions, drives her around in a convertible and lavishes her with promises. She appears unannounced on his doorstep in the capital, but instead of hugging her boyfriend's wife and child, whom she did not know about, she hears: "I forgot to tell you, soryan." Moscow does not believe in tears, so the deceived girl leaves with her head held high and generally decides to stay in the big city to build her own future. Oksana takes on any part-time job and by chance finds herself in the mansion of a widowed restaurateur with three children who have driven more than one nanny crazy.

"Olesya came to the casting twice — the first time we did not approve her"

Starring a debutant. The nanny was played by Olesya Ivanchenko, known for the humorous Internet show Natal Chart, where she analyzes the personal horoscopes of show business stars in the company of co-host Dmitry Zhuravlev.

— Olesya came to the casting twice. The first time we didn't approve it, because it seemed to us that there should be a more professional actress who pulls everything on herself. But then, over time, we reconsidered our position — we realized that it couldn't be anyone else, but it had to be her. All the famous cool actresses lost to her charisma, her authenticity. She was absolutely organic in everything, especially when we were doing ensemble auditions," the director said.

Oksana turned out to be cheerful and with a provincial accent, it seems, even genuine. Olesya Ivanchenko personally presented the project to the professional public in Sochi.

"Here I am with one foot in kin," she said jokingly with an "e", as if she were still in character. — It's a great experience, I've been in psychotherapy for a year, I've had a lot of fun, I really like it (laughs). Very exciting! I think you all know that the series has already made a splash and caused a mixed reaction before it was released, but I really hope that there will be support from the audience and I believe in it. This is done from the heart, from the bottom of my heart.

— There is no need to compare this with the previous project. It's like a new modern story with a very vibrant main character. Olesya herself is charismatic, multifaceted, and all her tricks are organic here. This is the main train that pulls it all, because the nanny format itself is not new," one of the viewers, dubbing actor, director and producer Karen Arutyunov, shared with Izvestia after the show.

How the professional community gathered in Sochi these days will evaluate the project will be known at the end of the week. The festival will announce the winners on Saturday, September 20th.
