Anatoly Aksakov, head of the State Duma's Financial Market committee, announced on September 17 that he had become the first Russian to receive a salary in digital rubles.

"Today I received a salary in digital rubles to my digital wallet on the Bank of Russia platform and tested transfers and payments from my digital ruble account," the parliamentarian wrote on his Telegram channel.
