Director Butusov will be buried in Moscow on September 21.

Director Yuri Butusov will be buried at the Kuntsevo Cemetery in Moscow on Sunday, September 21. This was announced on September 17 in the Telegram channel of the Lensovet Theater.

Butusov died in August 2025 at the age of 63. According to Kirill Krok, director of the Vakhtangov Theater, the director drowned in Bulgaria while on vacation with his family. He was cremated in Bulgaria, and a farewell ceremony was held in Sofia on August 14. In Moscow, Butusov's farewell took place on August 23 at the Pushkin Theater, after which the ashes were transported to St. Petersburg.

"Friends, there is information about the funeral of Yuri Nikolaevich Butusov. They will be held in Moscow at the Kuntsevo cemetery on September 21 at 12:00," the message says.
