The expert appreciated the CTP reform proposed by insurers
The initiative of insurers to introduce additional CTP payments in the case of self-repair of a car damaged in an accident is quite interesting, but it all depends on the reference books used to calculate the cost of repairs. Anton Shaparin, Vice President of the National Automobile Union, told Izvestia about this on September 17.
"For example, according to the current version of these reference books, the front headlight on a Renault Arkana is estimated at 49,590 rubles. However, on one of the most popular classifieds, it costs 130-140 thousand rubles. The same goes for the "official" prices for the services of technical centers: according to these reference books, in Moscow, the standard hour for repairing a Porsche is "estimated" at 1,050 rubles. Obviously, it is simply impossible to repair such a sports car for this amount," Shaparin said.
He noted that the prices listed in these directories often have little to do with both the actual cost of spare parts and the tariffs of technical centers.
