Since the woman's condition was severe, evacuation could only be carried out by helicopter. An EMERCOM Ka-32 aircraft with another group of rescuers from the Southern Russian Arctic flew to the site.
"She was transported to a helicopter on her toes, after which a Russian Emergencies Ministry medic provided the woman with first aid. After landing at the base of the rescue squad in Sochi, the tourist was handed over to the paramedics," the department's Telegram channel clarified.
Before that, on August 31, rescuers evacuated a group of six climbers who were stuck in the mountains of the Trans-Ili Alatau in Kazakhstan due to leg injuries to two of them. The climbers suffered during the passage of the mountain route as a result of a rockfall on Satpayev peak.
