On September 16, Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated Evgeny Petrosyan, People's Artist of the RSFSR, artistic director of the Variety Miniature Theater, on his 80th birthday, noting his skill, talent and inimitable humor.
"Numerous pop fans both in our country and far beyond its borders know you as a wonderful artist, highly appreciate your skill and talent as an improviser, inimitable humor and charm, boundless dedication to your chosen profession," the Kremlin website says.
In addition, Putin wished Petrosyan good health, inspiration and creative longevity.
Evgeny Petrosyan was born on September 16, 1945 in Baku. He graduated from GITIS with a degree in pop art. He is most popular as the artistic director and presenter of the humorous program "Crooked Mirror". He was awarded the titles of People's Artist of the Russian Federation and Honored Artist of the RSFSR.
Earlier, on April 29, the court granted the claim of TV presenter and comedian Evgeny Petrosyan for eviction from the apartment of Victorine's daughter from her first marriage. According to the artist's representative, the woman does not keep in touch with her father and lives in the United States. Their relationship is conflictual, as after the divorce of the presenter from the actress Elena Stepanenko, Victorina took the side of her stepmother.
