In his final speech on The Charlie Kirk Show, US Vice President Jay Dee Vance linked his career to the activities of political activist Charlie Kirk and accused leftist institutions of distorting the facts surrounding his death. The statement was published on September 15 on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

The presentation was devoted to the public's reaction to Kirk's murder and the problem of political violence in the United States.

"I'm sitting here in this office in the West Wing, and if it weren't for Charlie Kirk, I wouldn't be vice president of the United States," Vance said, noting Kirk's personal role in his political advancement.

Vance also stated that, in his opinion, "the left is much more likely to justify and celebrate political violence," and called for unity in condemning any acts of violence.

"We can find this unity only with those who recognize that political violence is unacceptable, and when we work to eliminate the institutions that support violence and terrorism in our country," he said.

Earlier in the day, it was reported that the suspect in the murder of Charlie Kirk, 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, was placed in solitary confinement. He is under special supervision so that experts can determine his danger to themselves and others. As of September 14, Robinson pleaded not guilty and refused to cooperate with the investigation.
