The Moscow Startup Summit International Conference in the field of technological entrepreneurship will be held in Moscow on October 1-2. The organizers are the Moscow government and Sber. The summit will bring together innovators, investors, representatives of large companies, relevant departments and scientific institutes from Russia, the BRICS and SCO countries, said Deputy Mayor Natalia Sergunina.

"International funds and start—ups from 25 countries, including Belarus, China, India, Serbia, Brazil, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates, have already confirmed their participation in the summit," Sergunina said.

She noted that the experts will discuss mechanisms to support talented developers, successful practices in implementing and scaling modern solutions, and promising areas for further cooperation.

"The program will be structured so that participants will receive concrete results.: Startups — proposals for pilots and investments, corporations and investors — promising projects, government representatives — agreements on international cooperation," said Alexander Vedyakhin, First Deputy Chairman of the Board of Sberbank.

The summit will be held on the territory of the smart city of Sberbank.

Within the framework of the conference, the Startup Summit Awards will be presented for the first time for their contribution to the development of innovation. Its purpose is to highlight effective practices, inspire large companies and investors to participate in supporting start—up entrepreneurs, as well as develop the economic potential of the regions.

More than 1,700 applications from 79 regions of Russia have been received for the award, Sergunina said. "The most popular category is "Startups", it has collected about a thousand questionnaires. Moscow became the leader in the number of applicants for the award — 550 contestants, about 270 of them are participants of the Moscow Innovation Cluster," said the Deputy mayor.

The applications will be evaluated by heads of domestic enterprises, well-known entrepreneurs, investors, representatives of government authorities and specialized educational institutions. The award ceremony will take place on October 2.
