Nissan cars have models with a reliable reputation and predictable service. However, there are frankly problematic copies on the Russian secondary market, said auto expert Alexander Kovalev.

"The classic example is the third generation Pathfinder. On paper, it's a sturdy frame SUV, but in reality, its 2.5-liter diesel engine has become a real headache for owners. The turbine does not live long, the fuel system is capricious, the EGR valve quickly becomes clogged, and overheating sometimes ends with cracks in the block head," Rossiyskaya Gazeta quoted Kovalev as saying on September 15.

The buyer of such an SUV needs to be prepared to spend money on maintenance and repair, although it is much more reasonable to look for alternatives, the expert noted.

The expert called the third-generation X-Trail another problematic Nissan car. The main problem of the model is considered to be the CVT, which can fail after 50-100 thousand km of mileage. Over time, the engines begin to "maslozhor", the timing chain stretches. Kovalev called the second-generation Nissan Teana the third dubious model, which also has problems with the CVT and engine overheating.

Earlier, on September 8, an auto expert listed problematic Mazda models on the Russian secondary market. He called the second-generation Mazda 6 sedan one of the company's most controversial projects.

Prior to that, on August 27, the specialist listed Mitsubishi models on the Russian secondary car market, the purchase of which could turn into problems for the new owner.
