Alexander Dronov, acting Governor of the Novgorod Region, representing the United Russia party, won the election of the head of the region, gaining 62.19% of the vote following the processing of 100% of the protocols of precinct election commissions. This was reported to the CEC of the Russian Federation on September 15.

Olga Efimova (KPRF) came in second place with 14.4% of the vote, Alexey Chursinov (LDPR) came in third with 9.53%, Nikolai Shvabovich (Fair Russia For Truth) came in fourth with 6.04%, and Nikolai Zakharov (Party of Pensioners) took fifth place with 5.27% of the vote.

The single voting day ended in Russia on September 14.
