"The earthquake occurred on the afternoon of September 15 at a point with coordinates 53.0961° north latitude, 160.2454 ° east longitude," the department wrote in the Telegram channel.

It is specified that the depth of the seismic event was 50.3 km. The epicenter of the earthquake was recorded 107 km northeast of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.

According to the Kamchatka branch of the Unified Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS), tremors of up to 3-4 magnitude were felt in some areas of the regional center.
