More than 1.5 million voters were able to vote in the elections of governors and regional parliaments on the remote electronic voting (DEG) platform — the final turnout was 90.54%. This is evidenced by data provided on September 14 by the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation.

"The DAG is over. In total, more than 1.5 million people voted on the federal DEG platform. The turnout was 90.54%," the agency said in a Telegram channel message.

According to statistics, 29% of those who voted ranged in age from 18 to 35, another 44% from 35 to 50, and 27% from 50. At the same time, the number of women (66%) in the voting exceeded the number of men (34%).

The largest number of voters using the DEG system was recorded in the Sverdlovsk Region (238 thousand people), the Rostov Region (232.5 thousand people), the Republic of Chuvashia (186.2 thousand people), the Perm Territory (154.4 thousand people) and the Chelyabinsk Region (128 thousand people).

The ministry clarified that the popularity of remote voting is growing, and also added that a total of 1.7 million people have registered on the platform.

The single voting day ended in Russia on September 14. On the same day, during a briefing at the situation center of the Russian Public Chamber (OP) for election observation, Maxim Grigoriev announced the OP's readiness to support the expansion of the use of DEG. He called this system very necessary, convenient and accessible for voters.
