At the moment, Russia and Ukraine do not even have a "skeleton" of agreements on conflict resolution. This was announced on September 13 by the Russian Foreign Ministry's Ambassador-at-large for crimes of the Kiev regime, Rodion Miroshnik.

"Now we don't have a base, now we don't have, sorry, even the skeleton of such agreements, because the approaches that Russia and Ukraine follow for the negotiation process are too different," he said in an interview with TASS.

In this context, Miroshnik clarified that a possible increase in the level of direct contacts between Russia and Ukraine in Istanbul is not such a key issue that could affect the negotiation process. According to him, any negotiations are based on working out solutions that will be as compromise-friendly as possible and acceptable to both sides.

Earlier, on September 9, State Duma deputy Alexei Chepa called the diplomatic option of ending the conflict in Ukraine a priority for Russia. At the same time, he noted that the negotiation process is currently underway not only with the American side, but also with other interested parties to the peaceful settlement.
