The unemployment rate in Chechnya has decreased by almost 17 times in 18 years. This was stated by the head of the region Ramzan Kadyrov in an interview with RIA Novosti.

It is noted that in 2007 this indicator was at the level of 76%, and now it has decreased to 4.5%.

Kadyrov also pointed out that in 2007 the population of the republic was 950 thousand people, today it is 1 million 570 thousand. He stressed that it was not only possible to reduce the unemployment rate, but it was possible to reduce it, despite the significant population growth.

Kadyrov expressed the opinion that at this rate, the problem of unemployment in Chechnya can be solved in the next few years. According to him, small and medium-sized businesses, tourism development, and the implementation of large investment projects play a separate role in this.
