Russian military personnel arrived in Kyrgyzstan to participate in the exercises "Frontier-2025"

Military personnel of the 201st military base of the Central Military District (CVO) arrived in Kyrgyzstan to participate in a command and staff exercise with units of the Collective Rapid Deployment Forces of the Central Asian region "Rubezh-2025". This was announced on August 13 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

The department clarified that the transfer of units was carried out in a combined manner. Motorized infantry moved along the mountain slopes on BTR-82A armored personnel carriers, URAL and KAMAZ vehicles, and special equipment was delivered by AN-124 Ruslan and Il-76 military transport aircraft.

The ministry added that upon arrival in the area of the exercise, the military personnel began preparing weapons and military equipment for the active phase of the exercise.

The maneuvers will take place at the training grounds of both countries, as well as in the waters of the Baltic and Barents Seas.

A day earlier, the Russian Defense Ministry announced the start of the Zapad-2025 exercises to counter air attacks by a simulated enemy, in which Russian and Belarusian servicemen are taking part in the Baltic Sea.
