Shanghai Dragons beat Lokomotiv in KHL match
Hockey club (HC) Shanghai Dragons defeated Lokomotiv 4-1 in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) regular season match. The game took place on September 12 in St. Petersburg at the SKA Arena.
The only goal for Lokomotiv was scored by the 28-year-old Alexander Polunin, an outfield striker, in the 7th minute. Canadians Ryan Spooner (29th) and Riley Sutter (42nd) scored for the Shanghai Dragons, as well as Max Ellis (56th) and defenseman Doyle Somerby (58th).
According to the results of this meeting, Shanghai Dragons is in second place in the KHL Western Conference with five points, while Lokomotiv is in sixth place with four points.
A day earlier, St. Petersburg HC SKA beat Chelyabinsk Traktor 5-2 in a KHL match, which was the first victory of the season. Both of these clubs will play their next matches on September 14: SKA will face Lada, and Traktor will face Sochi.
