Tyler Robinson, who was detained on charges of murdering activist Charlie Kirk, dressed up as US President Donald Trump for Halloween in 2017 when he was 14 years old. This was reported on September 12 by the Daily Mail.

"Tyler Robinson was captured in this costume in a photo posted by his mother Amber in 2017, when he was about 14 years old. In the post, Robinson stands next to his younger brother and smiles at the camera," the article says.

The Daily Mail also reported that Robinson's family had noted a strong "politicization" in him in recent years.

Kirk died on September 10 after being shot in the neck during an event at the University of Utah. Later, on September 12, US President Donald Trump said that the suspect in Kirk's murder was "highly likely" in custody. In addition, he also called for Kirk's killer to be sentenced to death.

Utah Governor Spencer Cox confirmed the arrest of a suspect in Kirk's murder on September 12. According to him, a family member of the suspect contacted a family friend, who then contacted law enforcement with information that Robinson had confessed to him about the incident.
