Ekaterina Kharchenko, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Science and Higher Education, voted in the election of the governor of the Kursk region. The footage is published by Izvestia on September 12.

Kharchenko said that she chooses the future not only for herself, but also for her children, grandchildren and the future generation.

"These are new spaces — schools, kindergartens, new cultural and public spaces, education, healthcare," she stressed.

According to her, despite the threats and challenges facing the residents of the region, they will unite even more and make their choice in favor of the future of their family, the Kursk region and Russia.

"Elections are everyone's business. And our family has a tradition.: we all come to the polling station with our children, but the eldest has grown up, now only the little one is voting with us, and she is very interested in this process," the deputy added.

In some regions of Russia, elections of governors, heads of regional parliaments and other officials began on this day, which will end with a single voting day on September 14. In total, more than 5,000 election campaigns will be conducted in 81 regions of the country. About 55 million people will be able to participate in the elections. In addition, 24 regions will host remote electronic voting, which, according to preliminary data, will cover about 20 million voters.
