Moscow plans to sign long-term contracts for the installation of car chargers
As part of the development of charging infrastructure for electric vehicles, Moscow City Hall has decided to conclude long-term contracts for the installation and maintenance of charging stations. The mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, announced this on September 12 in his Telegram channel.
Under the contracts, operators — legal entities and individual entrepreneurs — will install and maintain electric charging stations (EPPS) for seven years in accordance with all technical requirements and quality standards stipulated by the agreement and the terms of reference.
At the same time, Moscow will take over the key stages of infrastructure preparation, including bringing in the necessary electrical power and installing special foundations with input and distribution boards. The selection of EHS operators will take place on a competitive basis.
Sobyanin noted that, according to experts, by 2030 the number of electric vehicles in Moscow will range from 100 to 300 thousand. Currently, owners of electric cars are exempt from paying transport tax and can park for free in street parking lots. There are more than 7 thousand EHS in the capital. Of these, more than 350 are included in the Moscow Energy program.
On September 3, it was reported that, as First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov said, in Russia by 2030, according to the objectives of the federal project, it is planned to produce over 183 thousand electric vehicles and cars with a sequential hybrid power plant.
On August 20, it became known that, as of the beginning of July, there were 65.2 thousand electric vehicles in Russia. Since the beginning of the year, the increase in the number of electric cars has amounted to 5.6 thousand units (+9.4%), of which 4.4 thousand cars were sold as new, the rest were used. The most common electric car model in the country is the Nissan Leaf (17.3 thousand units).
