The CSKA football club has signed an agreement with the Italian FC Napoli on the transfer of Serbian-born midfielder Matija Popovic to the army. The relevant information was published on the CSKA website on September 11.

"PFC (professional football club. — Ed.) CSKA and Napoli have reached an agreement on the transfer of Matija Popovic! The 19-year—old Serbian midfielder has signed a three-year contract," the statement said.

It is clarified that the footballer, who previously also played for Serbian FC Partizan and Vojvodina, played 26 matches last season as part of the Napoli youth team, scoring 11 goals and providing four assists.
