Air defense systems intercepted and destroyed eight drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the sky over the Belgorod region. This was announced on September 11 by the press service of the Russian Defense Ministry.

"In the period from 17:30 Moscow time to 20:00 Moscow time, eight Ukrainian aircraft—type unmanned aerial vehicles were intercepted and destroyed by air defense systems on duty over the territory of the Belgorod region," the department wrote on its Telegram channel.

Earlier in the day, the Russian Defense Ministry reported the elimination of 17 Ukrainian UAVs over Russian regions during the night. It was noted that drones were destroyed over the territories of the Voronezh, Belgorod, Bryansk, Kursk, Lipetsk and Tambov regions.
