Sobyanin noted the impact of social support measures on the quality of life of Muscovites

Moscow ranks first in terms of social support for the population, the Mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, said at the plenary session "Demography 2.0. Reboot" of the VI Forum of Social Innovations of the regions. The social programs and projects implemented in Moscow are based on the use of the latest technologies and have no analogues not only in Russia but also abroad, said the mayor of the capital, quoted by mos.ru .

Moscow is trying to make assistance as targeted as possible, about 70% of measures to support citizens have been digitized. This is very convenient for residents and underlines the innovative nature of modern social policy, the mayor believes.

Sobyanin stressed that demography is of key importance for Moscow and Russia as a whole. According to him, it depends on many factors, including the economic situation, the social sphere and others that determine a person's choice of how many children to have. In many ways, this choice is based on the idea of the future in the country and the city, Sobyanin believes. He noted that the maternity and childhood support program has helped to double the number of large families in the capital.

Moscow provides high-quality education to schoolchildren and students and provides them with a successful start in their professional careers, Sobyanin noted.
"Our task is not just to create some kind of super schools, but to make sure that any child receives a high—quality education, regardless of which district he lives in and which school he goes to," the mayor of the capital emphasized.

Moscow is also implementing programs to take care of the older generation, Sobyanin recalled. Due to this, the life expectancy of citizens has increased to 79.5 years. "To dispel another myth that there are fewer people living in a city with a larger population: Moscow has the longest life expectancy in the country, with the exception of glorious Ingushetia, from which we continue to learn how they achieve such figures," said the mayor of Moscow.
