The Russian Embassy commented on the situation in Indonesia after the floods

The situation in Indonesia is gradually improving after a series of floods, and Jakarta has not yet asked Moscow for help in dealing with the consequences. This was announced to Izvestia on September 11 at the Russian embassy in the country.

"Due to the lack of appropriate appeals and the gradual normalization of the situation, the provision of humanitarian assistance is not planned," the diplomatic mission said.

Russian foreign institutions in Indonesia maintain contact with local competent authorities and provide the necessary consular assistance to Russian citizens who have applied for assistance, the embassy's Telegram channel reported earlier.

Earlier, due to heavy rainfall in Bali province on September 9-10, the water level rose to 1.5 meters in some areas. Access to certain sections of roads was temporarily restricted. 15 people received life-threatening injuries, 10 were missing.
