A draft law on the right to receive an increased pension from the age of 70 will be submitted to the State Duma.

Deputies of the State Duma (State Duma) will submit for consideration a bill according to which the age of assignment of fixed payments to an insurance pension will decrease from 80 to 70 years. This is stated in the text of the bill, which was reviewed by TASS on September 11.

The authors of the bill are Yaroslav Nilov, chairman of the State Duma Committee on Labor, and Dmitry Gusev, first deputy head of the Fair Russia — For Truth faction.

It is specified that changes will be made to the law "On Insurance Pensions". At the moment, people who have reached the age of 80 or who are disabled in group I are eligible for an increase in the fixed old-age insurance pension and disability insurance pension by 100%.

According to the new bill, people over the age of 70 will receive a 100% increase, and pensioners over the age of 80 will receive a 200% increase.

"A significant part of our elderly citizens simply cannot exercise their right to an increased fixed payment for an old-age insurance pension. But already at the age of 70, many of our pensioners need additional expenses for medicines and outside care," said Nilov.

Gusev, in turn, noted that help should come exactly when it is needed. Therefore, this bill was created.

The frequency of indexation of insurance pensions will change next year.

On September 10, State Duma deputy Alexander Yakubovsky announced that in the absence of a fixed 15-year length of service and 30 pension coefficients, Russians will receive only a social pension, not an insurance one. According to him, the payments also have different sizes. The parliamentarian stressed that the average insurance pension this year is about 23 thousand rubles, and the social pension is about 8-10 thousand rubles.
