Andrey Boginsky, the former CEO of the Yakovlev aircraft manufacturing company, took over the post of head of the Russian Aurus company, which manufactures luxury passenger cars. This was reported on September 10 by TASS with reference to the data of the Unified State Register of Legal Entities.
The relevant changes were made on September 9th. Boginsky replaced Andrey Pankov, who has been the head of Aurus since the end of 2022. Boginsky left his post at Yakovlev in November 2024.
Since May 2021, Aurus cars have been mass-produced at the Aurus plant in Yelabuga, in the Republic of Tatarstan. The Aurus is the official car of the President of Russia.
Izvestia reported on June 19 that the Russian luxury car brand Aurus is exploring the possibility of launching commercial sales of large Arsenal minivans, which are currently used only in the government's special purpose garage. The degree of readiness of the model allows us to count on the start of sales as early as 2026.
On March 19, it became known that the Aurus Komendant crossover was first available on the secondary market. The car produced in 2023 traveled 11.7 thousand km, it was estimated at 43 million rubles.
