Representatives of 19 countries took part in the Wings of Sakhalin Forum.
Representatives from 19 countries took part in the work of the international forum of unmanned vehicles of all environments "Wings of Sakhalin", which took place on September 6-8 in the Sakhalin region. During the business events, scenarios for the use of unmanned vehicles, the implementation of the national project "Unmanned Aircraft Systems", the role of the Sakhalin Region in achieving the goals of industry development and other issues were discussed. The event is a visiting venue of the Eastern Economic Forum. The operator is the Roscongress Foundation.
"The control system for unmanned aerial vehicles according to the rules of civil aviation was demonstrated at the forum. We have developed a Sakhalin flight control model and coordinated it with the Federal Air Transport Agency and the Russian Air Traffic Control Organization. Let me remind you that at the Eastern Economic Forum, Russian President Vladimir Putin noted the effectiveness of drones in the Sakhalin Region. We have developed more than 70 scenarios for the use of drones in solving national economic problems, and this experience will be extended to all regions of the Far East in the near future. This includes the experimental right-wing regime that operates on the territory of Sakhalin. In other words, the Far Eastern regions will have a legal framework for the use of drones in the national economy. For the second year in a row, we have been gathering the entire drone industry at the Fluffy drone port. And we propose to use this platform for the annual holding of such events," said Valery Limarenko, Governor of the Sakhalin Region.
International cooperation in the field of unmanned systems was also discussed. At the plenary session "People and Machines of the Future – the global agenda for the development and regulation of the unmanned systems industry," participants stressed the importance of supporting the industry and creating platforms for expert dialogue and exchange of experience.
"The creation of a congress platform at the Pushisty drone port is an important step that will help draw attention not only to the topic of unmanned systems, but also to the high–tech solutions used in the region in general. In particular, the achievement of carbon neutrality on Sakhalin has already been discussed, and in the future there will be a forum dedicated to advanced energy projects. I am convinced that such events draw attention to Russia's best practices at the international level and contribute to the development of these industries," said Igor Pavlov, First Deputy Director of the Roscongress Foundation and Director of the Eastern Economic Forum.
The program of the forum included a drone parade, and the latest developments in the field of unmanned systems were demonstrated. In particular, the Stork unmanned aircraft was presented, which made its first flight according to aviation rules from Okha Airport to Nikolaevsk-on-Amur Airport. Now he is being prepared for a flight to the Southern Kuril Islands. In addition, the work of marine drones was shown at the forum – the All-Russian competitions of robotic boats and underwater robotics competitions were held. Drone control competitions were held at the site of the Fluffy drone port. Among the disciplines are flight path passing, drone billiards and drone combat. An engineering tournament was held for specialists. A number of agreements were also signed. 19 specialized companies presented their developments.
The Sakhalin-Expo site will host the International Far Eastern Energy Forum on September 25-26. It provides a platform for discussing the opportunities, risks, and key challenges facing the fuel and energy industry. The event will be held in the format of the WEF offsite.
