Dodik called the relations between Republika Srpska and the Russian Federation very good

Relations between the Russian Federation and the Republika Srpska (RS, an entity within Bosnia and Herzegovina) are very good. This was stated on September 9 by RS President Milorad Dodik following a meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

"Thank you, Mr. Minister, for the wonderful opportunity to meet with you again, talk and confirm that our bilateral relations are stable, at the highest possible level, and everything is developing well," he said.

According to Dodik, Russia constantly demonstrates its interest in the situation during the meetings. He also thanked the Russian Federation for understanding the political situation in the country and highlighted the good level of bilateral relations.

In addition, the RS president called Russia the guarantor of the Dayton Agreements. In his opinion, the Russian Federation is also proving its role as a defender of international law.

According to Lavrov, he is trying to carry out "usurping functions" on the orders of representatives of Western countries.
