Volunteers were massively poisoned at the Wings of Sakhalin Festival
A criminal case has been opened in the Sakhalin Region over the mass poisoning of volunteers at the Wings of Sakhalin Festival. This was reported on September 9 in the press service of the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.
"Information has been revealed that the volunteers who participated in the Wings of Sakhalin festival received food poisoning. <...> a criminal case has been opened on this fact under Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Provision of services that do not meet safety requirements")," the publication says in the Telegram channel of the department.
The number of victims is not reported. The Sakhalin Oblast Prosecutor's Office also organized an investigation into the incident.
On August 25, it was reported that a criminal case had been opened into the poisoning of a group of tourists in the Republic of Dagestan. On the same day, it became known that 30 people had food poisoning at a recreation center in Dagestan. 20 people, including 15 children, were taken to the Derbent Infectious Diseases Hospital.
