One of the ships of the environmental activist Thunberg was attacked by a drone
One of the ships of the Global Sumuda Flotilla (GSF), participating in a voyage with eco-activist Greta Thunberg, was attacked by an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). This was announced on September 8 by the press service of the organization.
"The Global Sumuda Flotilla (GSF) confirms that one of its main vessels, known as the Family Boat, <...>..> it was hit by a drone," reads the message on Instagram (owned by the recognized extremist Meta company, its activities are prohibited in the Russian Federation).
The organizers said that members of the flotilla's steering committee were on board. The ship was sailing under the flag of Portugal. All passengers and crew are safe at the moment.
Thunberg announced her intention to visit Gaza on August 11. According to her, in addition to "the largest attempt to break the illegal Israeli blockade in Gaza," eco-activists around the world are organizing actions in support of Palestine, which will be held in 44 countries around the world. The Spanish newspaper La Vanguardia reported on September 1 that the flotilla of Swedish eco-activist Greta Thunberg left Barcelona and resumed its journey to the Gaza Strip.
