In recent years, my beloved country has indeed had a tradition, and not the worst one, of celebrating the New Year with "Christmas Trees." There was a moment when it seemed to someone that the time of this series had passed. And now I'm glad that the filming has been taken over by people who take this very seriously. And it seems to me that the past "Christmas Trees", which I returned to after a long break, became proof that this could be a good, kind, high-quality story.
— Zhora Kryzhovnikov also returned to work on "Christmas Trees" as a creative producer and script writer. Are you interested in working with him?

— Is it possible to continue the New Year's saga without your character, Uncle Yura Vnukov?
— I hope that my contribution is to the fact that Uncle Yura has become an integral part of the "Christmas Trees", that this is one of the important components of the film. And the fact that I was offered to make a separate line of Uncle Yura's adventures shows that I have succeeded in doing something here. — You made a minipig friend last season. Are there any difficulties in working with animals?
— You can't beat an animal. I'm not a real artist, I found a certificate of graduation from a theater institute at a construction site. That's why it's very difficult for me to work with animals, women and children (laughs).

Labor! May!". And for me, the New Year is one of the few holidays that I enjoy celebrating.
— Does your family have a tradition of celebrating the New Year?
— These are such banal rituals that it's even embarrassing to talk about them. I'm afraid to disappoint someone. Maybe someone thinks that I eat black caviar mixed with streamers with a ladle. But no.
— There are only a few films in your film biography in which you have dramatic roles. Has it been possible to convince the viewer that a great dramatic artist is hiding behind the mask of a funny man and a macho man?
— Failed. Even Chikatilo turned out to be funny, right? And does the "Unforgiven" Vitaly Kaloev also make you smile? His last job at Akterishche. He was probably dying funny too. I absolutely don't care if I managed to get out of character or not. I am sincere about what I do. But my biographers, I hope they will someday write: "He failed." Or: "He succeeded." I try. But the genre of comedy, as you know, many simply do not drag. It's a difficult story, where there's a fine line. And I really love "Christmas Trees", and especially "Christmas Trees 12".
— Would you like to work in a repertory theater?
— Maybe I'll tell you a secret, but many theaters call me, from the bottom to the very top. I guess I'm already burned out. Of course, it would be great to check that I have done this in my life. But, as it turned out, it's not enough to come to the theater, you have to play there at least a couple more times a week. For me, it's like a play or a shoot — by God, at least leave the profession. I came to the playground today, had coffee, ate marshmallows, and everything seemed to be fine. But it turns out that you also have to go to the shooting.
— But the process can also be protracted?
"Me?" No. I like to knock on the cash register: "Hello, what time do you open? And where are my 300 rubles?" (Laughs.)
— Perhaps you have a desire to teach?
— We have opened a studio in Dubai. And that's where I teach.
"That's a long way."
— It's a little far, but it's sunny. I was offered a course here. But it's a serious job and a big responsibility. Dubai courses are courses for successful people.
