Yemeni Houthis from the Ansar Allah movement launched strikes using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) at three strategic Israeli sites. This was announced on September 8 by Yahya Saria, a representative of the rebel armed forces.

"The unmanned aerial vehicles of the Armed Forces of Yemen conducted a high-quality military operation, striking three drones at the airport of Lod (Ben Gurion. - Ed.) in Jaffa, Ramon airport in Umm al-Rashrash and a sensitive target in Dimona in Palestine," follows from a publication on the Houthi Telegram channel.

It is specified that during the operation all the intended goals were achieved.

Earlier in the day, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported the interception of three drones launched from Yemen. According to the army press service, an air alert was issued in a number of areas in southern Israel due to the threat of an invasion by UAVs.

On September 7, Israel closed the airspace over Ramon Airport. The decision was made after an unmanned aerial vehicle launched by the Yemeni Houthis crashed at the airport, injuring two people.
