- The First All-Russian prize in the field of animal protection will be awarded in Moscow
On September 17, 2025, the RBC Events Center will host the solemn ceremony of awarding the First All-Russian Award in the field of animal protection, a key event that unites representatives of the state, business, the non-profit sector and society for a common goal: building a culture of humane and responsible treatment of animals in Russia.
The initiator of the award is the NIKA Charitable Foundation for assistance to homeless animals, which has been operating since 2011 and implements systematic projects to help animals, develop infrastructure and educational programs. The All-Russian Award is the country's first comprehensive tool for recognizing the merits and contributions of those working in the field of animal welfare and environmental development.
Non-governmental organizations, initiative groups, socially responsible businesses, regional authorities and individual citizens are invited to participate. The selection of applicants will take place in several stages, including an expert assessment and consideration of the practical impact of the implemented projects.
The award ceremony will conclude the First All-Russian Forum on Responsible Treatment of Animals, which will be held on the same day.
The forum will include more than 15 sessions, the participation of more than 60 speakers, a discussion of strategies for interaction between government, business and civil society, as well as presentations of new infrastructure and educational initiatives.
