The Belarusian crossover became the bestseller among foreign cars in the Russian Federation for the first time.

For the first time in history, the Belarusian crossover Belgee X50 topped the sales rating in the segment of foreign cars on the Russian car market, the analytical agency Autostat reported on September 8.

So, in the 36th week (from September 1 to September 7) of 2025, the Belgee X50 sold 1,399 units. This volume allowed him to displace the Chinese Haval Jolion crossover (1,379 units), which for a long time held the title of the best-selling foreign car in the Russian Federation.

Lada Granta (2,984 units) became the most popular passenger car in sales (domestic and foreign cars) last week, followed by the X50 and Jolion in the overall ranking. Lada Vesta was only on the fourth line with a score of 1,364 units. The indicators of the remaining models during this period do not reach 1 thousand units.

In total, 28.9 thousand new passenger cars were sold in Russia during the 36th week. This is 3% less than a week earlier, and 24% less than in the same period last year, analysts estimate.

In Russia, the Belgee brand is represented by the X50 (formerly Coolray) and X70 (formerly Atlas Pro) crossovers. They are produced at the Belji Joint-Stock company in the Minsk region.

Earlier, on September 3, it was reported that the presentation of the new model of the Belarusian brand Belgee, which will become the third in the brand's line on the Russian market, will take place at the end of September.

On August 11, it became known that the modernization of production had been completed at the Belarusian plant of the Belji Joint Stock Company. The changes primarily affected the welding and body painting workshops. After the modernization, the number of robots in the factory was increased from 10 to 43 units. The measures taken made it possible to increase the production of cars from 15 to 30 units per hour.
