WP reported on Meta's concealment of research on risks to child safety
The Meta company (recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation) concealed research on the risks to the safety of children using the organization's virtual reality devices and applications. This was reported on September 8 by The Washington Post (WP), citing former employees of the company.
"[Two former employees of the company] claim that Meta concealed research that could shed light on potential safety risks for children and adolescents on the company's virtual reality devices and applications," the material says.
It is noted that Meta categorically denies this accusation. WP also clarifies that the organization did not create parental controls for teenagers before the start of the investigation by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).
