The weather forecaster predicted temperatures above normal this week in Moscow.
During the week, the temperature in Moscow and the Moscow region will be 3-4 degrees above normal and at the end of the week it will reach +22...+24 degrees. This was stated to Izvestia on September 8 by Tatyana Pozdnyakova, a leading specialist at the Meteonosti news agency.
She clarified that this week the weather in Russia will be influenced by an anticyclone, the center of which is now located over the White Sea, but is gradually moving south. Pozdnyakova also said that wind currents will move from the north to the northwest, then to the east and south.
"As for the temperature background, it will remain 3-4 degrees above normal. At night, the temperature will fluctuate between +8...+13 degrees, and the daytime temperature at the beginning of the week will be +20...+25 degrees. In the Moscow metropolitan region, +22...+24 degrees are expected at the end of the week. In general, the daytime temperature in the region will remain within +18... +23 degrees, and in Moscow — +21 ...+23 degrees," the expert added.
The weather forecaster stressed that such weather will be comfortable for both leisure and work: it will be cool in the morning, and during the day the temperature will not be too high.
On August 26, Alexander Shuvalov, head of the Meteo forecasting center, said that positive weather anomalies can be expected in the first decade of September this year in the central part of Russia. According to the forecaster, the weather will be warm in the first 10 days of September, and then the wave-like development of atmospheric processes will lead to the second ten days returning to normal.
